Whether you want to capture a simple live acoustic performance, record a full song, develop an arrangement, add instruments, or explore production ideas, the goal is simple: make your music sound as good as possible while keeping the process relaxed, creative, and personal.

At Mofo, the focus is always on the music and capturing your best performance. Before we begin, we will discuss your goals for the project and develop a plan to achieve them. When it is time to record, we take the time to get a sound you feel comfortable and confident with, so you can focus on playing and making music.

Full live band recording is possible, but because Mofo is a smaller studio, bands are usually recorded in layers. We might begin with drums and bass, then add guitars, keys and other instruments before finishing with lead and backing vocals. Every project is different, so the recording process can be adapted to suit your music.

Mofo is built around a flexible digital recording and production workflow using Logic Pro and RME audio interfaces. The studio has a selection of microphones, analog preamps, guitars, basses, percussion, a Roland electronic drum kit, an 88 key Kurzweil keyboard, guitar amplifiers, and a wide range of software instruments and effects.
